“I woke up today and put all my shit in boxes, It’s 8am so I’m glad I wasn’t out late. I woke up today, I guess it’s good I hadn’t finished unpacking all of this in the first place.”-TWY
I have been on this The Wonder Years kick lately, and it’s fitting since they have a lot of songs about being on the road and moving. They’re kind of perfect, since I did in fact wake up at 8am, pack the rest of my personal belongings into my car, and most of my belongings were still in boxes from when I moved down to Long Island last year around this time. My bff/co-vocalist &bassist from my band TFT/music man extraordinaire Jesse burned me all of their cds, and I haven’t been able to stop listening.
Well, anyways, I hit the road yesterday morning, (after packing my pet rat, Cherie, and my betta fish, Banana, into my car along with 2 guitars, ALL of my books, too many DVDs, and other various personal possessions), only hitting a bit of traffic on my way to Virginia; the first stop on my road trip/moving adventure to Orlando.
Oh, and that tiki dude? He’s my road-buddy, Alejandro. He was a going-away memento from someone very dear to me. I made a promise to document Alejandro’s adventures before I left Long Island, so you will be seeing a lot of him.
Fun fact: there are a lot of cows and horses in Virginia. Just, yakno, chillin.
